**4TH ANNUAL BIRDING FESTIVAL ... The Discovery Center Bird Club in partnership with the Manitowish Waters Chamber and numerous sponsors present the 4th annual Birding Festival, May 16-17, 2008, at the Discovery Center. **BOATING SAFETY CLASSES: For those looking to complete a boater's safety class early in the season, contact the North Lakeland School Community Education Department at 715-543-2159. A class is scheduled for May 19, 20, 22 & 23, from 4-6:30 p.m. each evening. Another boater's safetly class is scheduled for June 24-26 at the Manitowish Waters Community Center (8:30 a.m. - noon each day). Call 715-543-2994 or 2115 for information and registration.
