The Town charges for household garbage bag based on size.  Recycling for newspaper, magazines, corrugated cardboard, aluminum, tin, plastic, glass and more! Scrap metal, appliances, brush and leaves are accepted May - October.  Call for more information.

Summer hours (May 1 - Oct. 31): M, W, F, Sat: 8am - 3:50pm / Sun: 8am - 11:50am 

Fall hours (Nov. 1 -  Nov. 30):  M, W, F, Sat: 8am - 3:50pm

Winter hours (Dec. 1 - April 30):  M, W, Sat: 8am - 3:50pm

The Town of Manitowish Waters holds an annual "White Goods Clean Up Week" for M.W. residents each June during regular transfer station hours.  These clean-ups ensure that appliances are recycled responsibly by residents of M.W.  Kitchen appliances like stoves, refrigerators, microwaves, freezers and dishwashers are accepted during this week.  Questions?  Call the Town Clerk at 715-543-8400 or the Town Transfer Site at 715-543-2366.
