Manitowish Waters Chamber Of Commerce

The Friends are an auxiliary support group for the library. The Friends run several fundraisers throughout the year (notably the Used Book Sale in July and "Libations for the Library" in August), and provide a large portion of the library's new material budget.

The Friends are not all about fundraising: every day you can see some of the 40-50 cheerful volunteers that keep the library running. They check books in and out, shelve items, shovel snow, suggest a great read, and assist library patrons any way they can. Our volunteers come from Manitowish Waters, Boulder Junction, Lac du Flambeau, Mercer, Presque Isle, and Winchester, proving that people all over the northwoods love the Koller Library.
