Manitowish Waters has many things to offer when it comes to outdoor recreation. One of the most exciting times of the year for us is winter. Our trails are some of the best in Wisconsin, and the beauty of Wisconsin's Northwoods is hard to beat! If you are planning a trip to Northern Wisconsin this winter, it is imperative that you snowmobile in and around Manitowish Waters. *Wisconsin & Michigan snowmobile trail passes are sold at the Chamber Office.

Warm weather and sun have taken their toll on sections of trail exposed to sun. The trails in the woods are still good. The forecast is calling for more warm weather and sun. I can't tell you what the trails will be like this weekend. That is going to depend on how much sun we get. I do know that Northern Central Wisconsin has the only rideable snow in the State. Will we get more snow next week? I dont know, I hope so. I can only suggest that if you are riding in the next few days, try to stay on trails that are shaded and know that heavily traveled trails in and out of towns are going to be "Snirty" The ice base is still there, just getting dirty. It is currently overcast. Remember our club Breakfast this Sunday at The Tower Inn 8am-noon. Kurt does a great job with the food and we will have raffles and pull tabs available.
