*All residents & property owners of the Town of Manitowish Waters, and of adjacent communities who are part of the Northern Waters Library System, are eligible for service at no charge. Temporary residents of Manitowish Waters and adjacent communities are also eligible for service upon completion of the necessary registration forms. Other borrowers may be required to pay a small fee for service.
*Yes, the library has wireless Internet. No library card is
required, and there is no charge for computer use. A black & white printer
is available, and a 10-cent/page donation is appreciated. Computer use is
limited to 30 minutes when other patrons are waiting. The library also
offers a copy machine (10 cents/page), fax service ($1 per page) and a
laminating machine ($2 per page).

Dog licenses: Residents of Manitowish Waters must license all dogs 5 months and older. Licenses are available from the Town Treasurer for $3 (neutered male or spayed female) or $8 (un-neutered male or un-spayed female). Owners must provide the following information: name, breed and color of dog, and proof of rabies vaccinations from the vet or date of vaccination, manufacturer and batch number of vaccine.

Child Care: Camp Jorn YMCA (www.campjornymca.org) also offers year 'round child care (toddler, preschool and after school programs for youth ages 12 months ot 12 years). Camp Jorn's child care has served hundreds of kids from throughout the greater Northwoods area of Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula since 1997.
